Many people get robbed when using online weight loss programs or guides. Not only are they losing money, they are losing their life as well. People don't realize that weight loss is lethal.

Weight loss products involve using drugs that your body doesn't need and eventually deteriorates it. You don't need these drug pills in your body. Some people actually lose about 5 pounds with this method only to pay huge health consequences later that sometimes leads to death. Is 5 pounds worth your life?

There's this great idea of "if I don't eat at all, I can't gain weight!" Huge mistake. It is a disastrous idea to starve your body simply because your metabolism slows down so much that the next time you eat, your body will store that fat because it thinks that you might not eat for a while. This was a popular idea and i saw for myself that people gained more weight weeks after they started eating regularly. Of coarse there are those situations where people starve themselves to death.

Diet food is relatively fake food that doesn't fill anyone up and leaves you hungry. Not only do you starve from hunger, but also starve for nutrients and minerals that was taken out by this diet food.

My friend recently tried this so called "proven diet". I gave her my overwhelming negative opinion, but she did it anyways. To make a long story short she lost 10 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks.

Now it was judgment time as I tried this diet plan myself. I definitely learned a ton of these "fat facts" that i never knew made me fat! It is safe which was a must for me. Also it is results driven because it has many years of success. I found rave reviews about it which is important. It's nothing that takes up the whole day and easy to use. If anything went wrong or if it didn't work, there was always a money back guarantee.

I followed all the instructions and weighed myself everyday which is probably over doing it because i wanted to see results! I lost 15 pounds in a month which isn't a staggering amount but I was shocked as how simple it was to do so. I gave up a while ago and my friend saved me! Weight Loss - Getting Back on Track

Remember when you first decided you were going to lose weight? How excited and determined you were? Then the battle began and your conviction has started to fade. Here are some steps to get back on track.

  1. Remember why you set your goal in the first place. Did you want to have more energy to do activities with your family?   3. Tell others about your goals and how you plan to be successful. Friends and family can help you by giving the extra support you need to stick with it.

  4. Seek professional help. Did you join a gym but are overwhelmed by the equipment or think you look foolish because you are unsure what you are doing? Meet with a personal trainer to learn how the equipment works and be shown a workout that will meet your goals. Are you trying to eat healthier by reading food labels but do not know what you should be looking for on the label? Weight Loss And Starvation

If you've ever tried to lose weight by starving yourself then you already know that not only does this not work, but it actually backfires, and usually makes you GAIN weight. When you try to go for extended periods of time without eating (more than four or five hours) you're basically working against your body.

Not Smart.

See, eating is natural. It's instinctive. We are hard wired as human beings to eat. So what normally happens when someone tries to starve themselves is they eventually end up succumbing to their natural instincts, and instead of eating...

They binge eat!

Not a chance.

So what is the solution? You take the exact OPPOSITE approach and begin to eat more often. Ironically, once you begin to eat more frequently you'll think about food less and it's actually a much easier way to become lean.

All the while, you're keeping your body in a constant state of thermogenisis (your internal body temperature is raised) and your metabolism is running on all cylinders and burning fat at an optimum rate.

I have read what I consider to be the best weight loss programs on the market. It took me awhile to find them, but in the end it was completely worth the money.

What about you?

Surely you've tried a few of the best weight loss programs out there, but maybe you have had no success. Maybe you lost a few pounds but then all of a sudden it came right back on and you gave up. If this is true, that's perfectly ok!

Weight Loss Truths - Calorie Restriction is the Key to Weight Loss Success

All successful weight loss programs rely on one common denominator; calorie restriction.

What is calorie restriction? Calorie restriction is an effort to reduce the amount of calories one consumes in order for the body to achieve a negative energy balance. This is simply a person reducing food consumption to the point that they are burning more energy than they are consuming. The body is then forced to use stored fuel (muscle tissue, glycogen and body fat) in order to survive. The burning of these stored fuels is cause of the weight loss phenomenon.

How does a person achieve this negative energy balance through calorie restriction? First a person must have an idea on what a calorie is. A calorie is a measure of heat. Food is the fuel our body needs to generate heat. If the body is not getting enough fuel from food consumption then the fuel must be found elsewhere. That fuel is found in our body fat.

The best analogy for this process is gasoline and an automobile. Cars run on gasoline. Without gasoline, a car is useless. We drive our car and fill up with gasoline when we are getting low on fuel.

What would happen if we put 18 gallons on gas in our car if we only burned 16 gallons? We would have extra gas left over. That extra gas has to go somewhere so it goes into storage for when we only have 14 gallons available but we need 16 gallons.

What would happen if we never tapped into our gas reserves? The surplus would keep growing and growing causing a need for larger storage tanks.

The human body works in the exact same way. The surplus fuel (food) is turned into stored energy (body fat) and the only way to reduce how much fuel is stored in reserve is to limit new consumption of fuel (food). This is the only way that the human body can body fat. A caloric deficit must be established so stored energy (body fat) can be burned to keep us alive.

How is a calorie deficit achieved? The simplest answer is to eat a fewer number of calories then it takes to fuel your basal metabolic rate. The BMR (basal metabolic rate) is the measure of energy a person needs to subsist. People can figure out their BMR by using any of the numerous BMR calculators that can be found online.

Once the BMR is calculated a person can then have a goal to shot for. If the BMR is 2500 calories a day, they a person should shoot to try to eat fewer the 2500 calories a day for a consistent period of time.

Weight loss with green juice and water is not a fad diet. If you are looking for quick weight loss look elsewhere. If you are looking for a healthy and gradual weight loss consider green juice and water. Green tea is also beneficial for dieting, but, we are talking about green juice. There is a difference.

The green juice I'm referring to is made mostly from green vegetables. Some formulations include forms of green algae and other include grains. Our body is designed to maintain it self best at a ph of about 7.2. That is what is known as slightly alkaline. Neutral is 7 on the ph scale. It seems that acid conditions ( when our bodys are below 7.2) exist , the acid is stored in fat. If we have excess acid in our bodies, the body will store fat so it can keep the acid in check. That is a simplistic explanation and it is close to what happens.

Water is necessary to carry the acid out of the body and lessen the reason for the body to store fat. Do not mistake liquids for water. The canned drinks,sodas, beer and even the diet drinks result in increased acid in your body and make it difficult to loss weight. In fact many people feel an energy increase just from eliminating the sodas.

The alkalinity of your body can be determined using litmus paper also known as ph paper. Litmus paper is used in testing laboratories of many descriptions and is used to determine the approximate acidity of a compound. You can test your saliva using it and get an indication if your body is acidic or alkaline. You will not be able to tell if it is exactly 7.2 that way.

Your local health food store can direct you to the green juice shelf. It is available in capsules, powder and liquid formulations.

The dismal statistics about diets indicate that 95% of them FAIL because people don't know how to lose weight safely. If you're an idiot like me you will manage to lose a little weight in the beginning of any weight loss diet; most of it is little more than your body adjusting its water weight. Those diets which tell you to stop eating a certain food group like no-carbs or no-protein diets hurt the body because they deprive a necessary building blocks for a healthy lifestyle. They may be very dangerous to your well-being and any weight loss achieved through them is short term. What you need is a diet which lets you eat a reasonable amount of food with a certain supply of all necessary food groups that still helps you to lose weight and keep it off.

Seven Pitfalls That Cripple Weight Loss

Do you struggle to maintain or lose weight? If so, you are certainly not alone. Obesity is on the rise and becoming an epidemic in our society. Why are so many people overweight? Can we blame our genetics? Are we are plagued by a slow metabolism? Certainly, we cant be the victims of our own self indulgence, can we?

I advise people that losing weight is like starting a new business. It takes careful planning, proper public promotion, consultation with the appropriate experts to set up the structure of the program, and most importantly, a tireless dedication to finish the task despite the guaranteed peaks and valleys along the way. Unfortunately, much of our society expects rapid results, and once they realize the flaw in a fad diet or quick fix, they become frustrated and look for the next overnight solution.

Let me point out the following critical challenges that often block weight loss success for many clients. The list below identifies seven major reasons people fail to attain their desired weight.

1) Unrealistic expectations As mentioned earlier, people are impatient and want instant gratification. Often, clients are motivated by special events, such as weddings, reunions, or office bets with peers. Once the event passes, the desire to maintain change is lost, or the person may miss the deadline altogether. The answer is to set realistic goals for losing 1-2 pounds per week, understanding that it takes time and you may not lose weight every week. Be patient and work hard.

2) Scale obsession How many of you get on the scale every morning? Weight will fluctuate by 1-3 pounds at times based on water retention, dehydration, and of course too much overindulgence. Gradual weight loss is best, and those who dont see positive change each time they get on the scale often get frustrated easily. I recommend weighing yourself once per week on the same scale, on the same day, and at the same time of day to ensure accuracy and reliability. This might be tough, but it will disappoint less and provide a clearer picture of your progress.

3) Skipping breakfast You probably have heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This is true because it kick starts your metabolism, provides fuel for activity, and also reduces the urge to eat unhealthy snacks before lunch. If you are rushed in the morning, buy healthy items such as fruit, yogurt, granola bars or cereal bars that can easily be consumed on the way to work or at your desk.

4) Failing to pack your lunch I firmly believe that packing a healthy lunch on a regular basis is essential to avoiding weight gain. If you dont, it becomes that much easier to grab fast food with co-workers or order in fare that is high in calories, hydrogenated fats, and sodium. You also have a higher probability of having desert when eating out.

5) Eating too few meals per day Yes, its true that you should eat 5-7 times per day, but the portion sizes must be appropriate. Eating every 2-3 hours will prevent significant hunger pangs and eating binges. More importantly, it speeds metabolism and caloric burning throughout the day.

6) Poor grocery shopping I stick to the mantra of If its not in the house, you cant eat it. Always prepare a list of foods before going to the store, and never go shopping when you are hungry. This strategy will help eliminate unhealthy temptations and stumbling blocks.
